Multiloop vs Spotify Marquee and Showcase
Written by James, Founder of Multiloop. Last updated 2 November 2026. Prices checked 2 November 2026.
Marquee and Showcase put your release in front of likely listeners inside Spotify, from $100 a campaign. Multiloop tells you which ad to make for the release everywhere else, and which ads end in ticket and merch orders.
Marquee is a full-screen pop-up for a new release; Showcase is a banner on Home and Browse. Both are bought from the Campaigns tab in Spotify for Artists, priced per click, with a $100 minimum per sub-campaign (Spotify, forecasting and budget). They are the only way to buy placement inside the Spotify app, and the reporting ties exposure to streams and saves over 14 days. They are also Spotify only: the destination is always a release page, there is no custom creative, and nothing is tracked beyond streaming (Spotify, tracking results). Multiloop covers the rest of an artist's ads: which ad to make for Meta, TikTok or anywhere else, and whether it ended in a ticket or a merch order.
Paste your link. Get the ad that sells it.
Which should you pick?
Use Marquee or Showcase when you have a release and you qualify. You pick the release, a market, an audience goal and a budget; Spotify builds the unit from your cover art and shows it to Free and Premium listeners it predicts will stream it. Spotify claims people who see a display campaign are over 3.7 times more likely to stream the release (Spotify display campaigns). Marquee needs at least 5,000 monthly listeners in the market and a release under 21 days old; both need 1,000 streams in the last 28 days (Spotify, getting started).
Use Multiloop for every ad that is not inside Spotify, and for everything you sell beyond streams. Marquee cannot promote a show, link to a ticket page or sell merch, and it cannot tell you what to make for Meta or TikTok. Multiloop's Loopers Rate shows which formats are selling right now for music releases, measured at the checkout. Paste your release, event or merch link and get the ad to make; add tracked links and the Multiloop Pixel, and Learn shows your Loop Rate against your niche.

Why choose Multiloop alongside Marquee
Everywhere Spotify is not. Marquee lives inside Spotify. Most of a release campaign runs on Meta and TikTok, and that is where Multiloop tells you the ad to make, from what is selling for music releases now.
Tickets and merch, not only streams. Marquee cannot link to a show or a shop. Multiloop's Pixel sits on ticketing and Shopify checkouts, so Learn shows which ads sold tickets and merch.
Any artist. No streaming thresholds, no 21-day window. Paste the link and get the brief.
Together. Marquee for the release moment inside Spotify; Multiloop for the ads that bring new listeners to it and the shows and merch that follow.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Spotify Marquee cost?
Campaigns are priced per click with a $100 minimum and $10,000 maximum per campaign budget; each sub-campaign needs $100 (Spotify, forecasting and budget).
Why can't I see the Campaigns tab or select Marquee?
Eligibility: at least 1,000 streams in the last 28 days in a target market, and for Marquee at least 5,000 monthly listeners in that market and a release under 21 days old; the team must be billed in a supported country (Spotify, getting started).
What is the difference between Marquee and Showcase?
Marquee is a full-screen pop-up for a new release, running 10 days; Showcase is a banner on Home and Browse for new or catalogue releases, running 14 days (Spotify display campaigns).
Can I promote a show or sell merch with Marquee?
No. The destination is always a release page or a "This Is" playlist; no ticket or purchase outcome is tracked (Spotify, customising your campaign).
Can I edit or cancel a display campaign?
Budgets cannot be raised after the start and campaigns cannot be edited once live; see Spotify's help on editing and cancelling (Spotify, editing or cancelling).
Is Discovery Mode the same as Marquee?
