Multiloop vs boosting a post on Instagram and Facebook

Boosting puts money behind a post you already have. Multiloop tells you which post to make, and whether it sold.
The Boost button turns a Facebook or Instagram post into a paid ad in a few taps, with no Ads Manager and, on Instagram, no ad account (About boosted posts). It is how most venues, small shops and artists spend their first ad money. The catch is in what it reports: for most goals the result is reach, engagement or link clicks, and without a Pixel you see clicks, not sales (Metrics for boosted posts). Multiloop starts one step earlier, with the ad to make, and ends one step later, with the Loop Rate: the share of visits from your ad that ended in an order.
Paste your link. Get the ad that sells it.
Which should you pick?
Boost when a post is already working and you want more people to see it. It is the fastest route to paid reach on Facebook and Instagram, needs no Ads Manager knowledge and no Pixel, and runs at any budget Meta will accept. Meta positions it as the simplest way to reach more people (The difference between boosted posts and Meta ads).
Use Multiloop when the question is what to post in the first place, and whether the money came back. A boost reuses the post as it is; it does not suggest a different format, hook or angle. Its targeting is interests, age and gender only, and in Meta's own words boosted posts "don't have as many customisation and detailed targeting options" as Ads Manager ads (Meta). Multiloop gives you the ad to make from what is selling right now for similar businesses, then tracked links and the Multiloop Pixel on your checkout show your Loop Rate against your niche. You can still boost the result.

Why choose Multiloop over just boosting
The ad to make. A boost amplifies whatever you posted. Multiloop tells you what to post: the hook, format, narrative, angle and visual approach that is selling for your niche now. Stop guessing what ad to make next.
What happened after the click. A boost's report usually stops at reach or link clicks. The Multiloop Pixel works like the Meta Pixel and sits on your checkout, so Learn shows which visits became orders, and how that compares with similar businesses.
Everyone's results, not only yours. Even with a Pixel, a boost shows your post. Multiloop's Loopers Rate shows whether that format is rising or falling for everyone on Multiloop. Stop what's falling. Scale what's rising.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between boosting a post and running an ad in Ads Manager?
A boost turns an existing post into an ad with limited targeting and goals. Ads Manager adds sales objectives, Lookalike audiences, more placements, custom creative and full reporting (The difference between boosted posts and Meta ads).
Is boosting a post cheaper than Ads Manager?
The media is priced the same way, per auction result. The one extra cost is Apple's 30% service fee if you pay inside the iOS app, which you avoid by boosting from the web, Business Suite or Ads Manager (Avoid the Apple service fee).
What is the minimum budget to boost a post?
Meta does not publish one. It says minimums vary by country, objective, currency and schedule and are shown as an alert in the tool (Best practices for minimum budgets).
Can I boost a post without a Facebook ad account?
On Instagram, yes; you can boost with or without a Meta ad account. Facebook boosts bill through the Page's ad account (Boost ads on Instagram with Meta ad account options).
Does a boost show me sales?
Usually not. Most goals report reach, engagement or link clicks. Facebook offers website-purchases and purchases-through-messages goals, but the count depends on a Pixel or Conversions API; Instagram boosts have no purchase goal (Metrics for boosted posts).
Why can't I boost my reel?
Reels with licensed music, third-party effects or interactive stickers cannot be boosted (Boost an Instagram reel).
Can a boost tell me which post to make?
No. It only amplifies the post you choose. Multiloop tells you the ad to make from what is selling for your niche.
Can I boost the ad Multiloop gives me?
Yes. Make the ad from the brief, post it, add the tracked link, and boost it. The Multiloop Pixel on your checkout then shows your Loop Rate.
Does Multiloop need access to my Facebook or Instagram?
No. The Multiloop Pixel works like the Meta Pixel and sits on your checkout. No ad-account connection is needed.
Does Multiloop know how much I spend?
No. Multiloop measures visits and orders, not spend.
